The aim is to introduce students to the fundamental assumptions and applications of political theories as they relate to international, national, organizational, and individual levels of analysis. Topics covered during this course include political theory, political dynamics, sources of power, and political behaviour. These are in turn used to analyze current debates and events in higher education such as higher education as a public or a private good, academic freedom, accountability, internal governance, leadership and administration, and labour relations.Estimated course enrolment: 25 studentsEstimated TA support: NoClass schedule (Lectures): Tuesday 17:00 – 20:00, Thursday 17:00 – 20:00Sessional dates of appointment: July 1, 2025 to Agusut 31, 2025Salary:Pay for half course, vacation pay included:$9,457.90 – Sessional Lecturer I
