Description: An introduction to literary theory and its central questions, such as the notion of literature itself, the relation between literature and reality, the nature of literary language, the making of literary canons, and the roles of the author and the reader.

Salary

Duties: All normal duties related to the design and teaching of a university credit course, including preparation and delivery of course content; development, admin. and marking of assignments, tests and exams; calculation and submission of grades; holding regular office hours; supervising any TAs assigned to course, if applicable.
Minimum Qualifications: PhD in English with specialization in literary theory or related topics; experience teaching literary theory or related topics at the university level; strong academic record; demonstrated teaching ability; evidence of currency in subject matter.
