DESCRIPTIONAWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a Senior Solutions Architect to join our thriving technical community and growing business in France. You will join a friendly and supportive team, working together to bring the latest in disruptive cloud computing technologies, comprising latest developments in artificial intelligence. Our teams help customers build a deeper understanding of hyper-scale cloud technology and application architectures, and they have the consultative and leadership skills required to drive and deliver successful outcomes.Key job responsibilities
As an AWS Senior Solutions Architect, you will have ownership of the technical relationship with customers, making recommendations on security, cost, performance, reliability, operational efficiency and best-practice architectures.Internally, you will be an advocate acting on behalf of the customer to help drive continual improvements to the AWS platform, sharing their needs and wants to inform the roadmap of AWS services and features. You will also help shape the future of the Solutions Architecture organisation by helping to hire, coach and mentor others.In this role, your creativity will link technology to tangible solutions, with the opportunity to define or invent cloud-native reference architectures with the worldwide AWS Solutions Architect community. You will participate in the creation and sharing of best practices, technical content and new reference architectures (e.g. white papers, code samples, blog posts) and evangelise and educate about AWS technology (e.g. through workshops, user groups, meetups, public speaking, online videos or conferences).A day in the life
As a Senior Solutions Architect you are part of an account team consisting of Account Managers and other Solutions Architects. You occasionally work with other teams, for example Service Teams, Professional Services, Support team, Public Policy, Marketing.
Your customers will be Public Sector customers and partners. Some customers are already experienced in the usage of cloud services and are expecting advices to transform, accelerate and innovate, others are at the beginning of their cloud journey and need solid foundations to start trusting the techology.
You have regular opportunities to learn about new services and solutions, new ways to deliver to customers, or develop your skills through internal and external events, or hands-on workshops. You will develop areas of depth where you have deeper knowledge of technologies or industries, with opportunities to help other customers and other teams.About the team

– Have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges.
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with business-fluent French and English
– A passion for technology and for learning.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSThe following qualifications are desired but not required:– Experience designing, building, refactoring or operating IT systems – either on premises or in the cloud.
– Working knowledge of cloud native architectures.
– Experience working in a customer-facing role.
– Experience working in or with the Public sector (central and local government, national security and defense)
