In Strategic Development we contribute by supporting and facilitating sustainable and inclusive economic Growth in Scotland.We are currently looking for a Senior Service Planner to join our East Regional team within Strategic Development, Development Services.What you’ll doYou will form an understanding of where and when new/planned development is likely to occur and how this may impact on water/wastewater networks.You’ll do this by using development data and planning forecasts, alongside customer intelligence, to input to the hydraulic model of our existing infrastructure. The results of which will allow you to understand potential cumulative impact that development may have on Scottish Water’s networks.You will sponsor, programme, prioritise and produce Network Impact Assessments designed to assess capacity and promote projects to ensure asset performance and compliance. All whilst ensuring the service to our existing customers is maintained.You will effectively develop and manage excellent relationships with internal and external stakeholders, customers, and delivery partners alike.What you’ll bringA strong influential project manager, with a logical approach to problem solving, analysing data and an ability to make evidence-led decisions.Experience or knowledge of drainage/water impact assessments is expected.You’re self-driven and will take on training and development to meet your targets.You will have excellent communication skills and be able to relationship manage to a very high standard and at various levels. And yes, you’ll have the IT skills needed to succeed, including experience in the use of software such as Excel, ArcGIS and Microsoft Dynamics.Looking out for youWhile the work we do is important, we know it’s not the only thing that matters. The not-so-small printThis role will be a Grade 7. If you’re new to Scottish Water, you’ll join us on a starting salary of £41,000. Performance-driven pay progression would then allow you to move through the range to a maximum of £51,970.If you’re interested in this role – or know someone else who might be – we’ll be accepting applications until midnight on the 18th of December.Job offers at Scottish Water are conditional, and will be confirmed on completion of our pre-employment screening, e.g. referencing, criminal record checks, license checks, etc. Screening is conducted on our behalf by a third party and must be completed before your start date.
