Hydrogen are working on an exciting opportunity with a leading financial institution who are looking to hire a lawyer with consumer regulation experience to join their highly regarded legal team as a Senior Legal Counsel to be based out of their Birmingham office.Key Responsibilities:

• Provide legal advice in relation to key products including current accounts, overdrafts, savings and FX products.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders, including product, operations, and risk teams, to provide legal relevant legal advice.

This is an ideal role for someone looking to move in-house where they can broaden their focus to covering a range of banking products and regulations.

Requirements:

• Admitted to practice as a solicitor in England & Wales with ideally 4+ years PQE gained in-house or within private practice.
• Experience gained in a leading regulatory team with experience advising on key regulations including BCOB’s, PSR’s and CCA.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external counsel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate legal risks.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
