DESCRIPTIONThe Amazon Cross Category & Channel Marketing (XCM) team in Europe is looking for an analytical and technically skilled market researcher to join our team. This position will be responsible for assessing needs, recommending, developing and supporting best in class market research methodology and supporting techniques to meet defined business objectives globally and in Europe. The XCM Sr Research Manager (Europe) will identify business insight priorities and manage a select group of vendors to ensure the rapid and timely execution of world-class work. Upon completion, the XCM Sr Research Manager (Europe) reviews the collected data, draws insights, authors reports and makes business-oriented recommendations that materially benefit the Amazon consumer business.Key job responsibilities
The XCM Sr Research Manager (Europe) function will work very closely with the XCM Global insights team as well as Country leads, other business stakeholders and XCM Campaign Managers. The XCM Sr Research Manager (Europe) will provide support to the XCM Global insights team so that all projects done in European countries are done taking into consideration EU specificities. The XCM Sr Research Manager (Europe) will also work closely with Country leads and XCM Campaign managers to make sure that the projects developed are relevant and actionable. The XCM Sr Research Manager (Europe) will also make sure that the EU marketplaces and stakeholders are aware of the insights available and that these are understood and acted upon.This role requires an individual with excellent analytical abilities as well as outstanding business acumen. The successful candidate will be a self-starter comfortable with ambiguity, with strong attention to detail, vocally self-critical, an ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. They recognise that the true measure of the success of the work product is based on the business impact the findings have had. This role is an Individual Contributor in the EU team and as such needs to be able to handle multiple projects at the same time, capable of delivering results at highest standard in a fast paced environment.Responsibilities Include:
· Developing in-depth analyses for ad hoc requests and projects, and increasing efficiency by operationalizing tracking studies
· Selecting the most appropriate research methodology and techniques
· Designing qualitative and quantitative research plans
· Designing research questionnaires and moderator guides
· Interpreting data, writing reports, and making actionable recommendations
· Supporting consumer research projects in Europe and Internationally; these may be either primary research or secondary data projects· Keys to success in this role include exceptional analytics, statistics, judgment, and communication skills. The candidate will need to be able to extract insights from data and be able to clearly communicate appropriate triggers and actions. This candidate needs to be able to handle multiple projects and stakeholders at the same time, working in a fast paced environment focused on delivering results.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS– Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
– Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
– Experience communicating results to senior leadership
– Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data
– Experience in marketing or marketing research
– Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements
– Experience presenting metrics and progress to goal to senior leadershipPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS– Experience creating and executing integrated marketing lead generation campaigns using tactics that include live or virtual events, webinars, email, lead nurture programs, and CRM/sales insights
