Senior ICT Security Specialist – Policy & Compliance

• Partner internally to deliver Information Security compliance and cyber risk reduction across Lifeblood

About the role    
We’re looking for someone to partner with stakeholders across ICT, offering guidance on cyber security and information security risks and controls that is consistent with legislative, contractual, and industry best practice standards. 

You will review both current and proposed business practices, offering guidance on how to best protect our information assets. Your role will involve assessing the cyber security posture of third-party vendors and providing senior stakeholders with recommendations on managing risks. You will work on administering Lifeblood’s IT security and compliance management systems, and have a real impact on our ability to deliver the life-giving service we provide in a safe manner.

Sound interesting? As a Senior ICT Security & Compliance Specialist you will have:  

• A qualification in IT Security or a related field or equivalent industry experience
• 5+ years’ experience in the field of cyber security, setting up and maintaining effective security policy frameworks
• Practical knowledge of Information Security frameworks including PSPF, NIST, ASD Essential 8
• Experience completing 3rd party vendor security or other controls-based assessments
• Experience in developing and publishing security policies and procedures
• Experience in leading risk and issues management across an organisation
• A collaborative, self-motivated personality able to build effective relationships at all levels

 

This is a fixed term opportunity until September 2025. There may be a possibility that this role becomes permanent. It is a Melbourne based position with work from home flexibility but we may be open to candidates from other locations.
