For the last 150 years, Atlas Copco has been the Home of Industrial Ideas.This position supports the Industrial Assembly Solutions and Machine Vision Solutions Divisions of Atlas Copco and reports directly to the Director of Human Resources. The role will be located in metro-Detroit, in a hybrid work environment with travel to our Auburn Hills and Plymouth, Michigan sites.The Role:The ideal candidate for this role will be a cultural driver, bringing about positive organizational change, and fully embracing and promoting the Atlas Copco culture. A successful candidate will be passionate about HR practices and have experience as a strategic business partner. The Sr. HRBP will support HR initiatives, with a heavy focus on strategic talent acquisition, will develop and facilitate training to meet business needs, and deliver value by supporting Atlas Copco colleagues in employee relations activities.What you will do:

  • The primary focus of this position will be strategic talent acquisition. You will create and continuously improve proactive techniques to identify, prequalify, interview, and select candidates.
  • You will work in a collaborative team environment to execute HR initiatives and related projects.
  • You will foster strong, supportive relationships within employees and department managers, emphasizing mutual trust, respect, and cooperative partnerships.
  • You will be an expert in HR practices, which will help to develop and recommend innovative approaches, policies, and procedures to facilitate continual operational improvements.
  • Engage in activities that promote talent development and inclusivity, contributing to a positive work environment. This includes a leadership role in our local DEI and Culture teams.
  • You will hold a leadership position within the HR department, responsible for mentorship of HR colleagues on the team.
  • Facilitate, develop, and support new and existing HR training to meet business needs, such as growth mindset training, interview training, and coaching training for Managers, among others.
  • Learn how to perform the onboarding/offboarding procedures, including new hire orientations and our HRIS, SuccessFactors.
  • You will collaborate with the global, national, and local HR network to support programs and initiatives.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring HR compliance.
  • You will need to manage several HR tasks or projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • You will occasionally travel, which may include international travel from time to time.

What we expect form you:

  • Passionate enthusiasm for Human Resources, including a fun spirit and approachable demeanor.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of an organization, which should include effective public speaking and presentation skills.
  • A growth mindset that is solution-focused and always finds a way!
  • Experience with acquisitions is preferred but not required.
  • Experience in a global company is preferred but not required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or similarly related field is required.
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of HR-related experience is required.
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including recruitment, compensation practices, organizational development, employee relations, diversity, performance management, DEI, and federal and state employment laws.
  • Experience in creative talent sourcing is required. 3+ years of experience in recruiting is preferred.
