Bramshaw Ward are looking for an enthusiastic Senior Healthcare Assistant to join our friendly team. We are a gynaecology ward, supporting a multitude of patients with varying presentations – from gynaecology, gynae-oncology and breast (post-operatively and pre-operatively), and early pregnancy.We are a fast-paced 18-bedded ward, offering a 24-hour service, which includes an assessment room for emergency admissions out of hours. We are looking for an experienced Healthcare Assistant with a keen interest in Women’s Health.The successful candidate will be expected to:o Provide a clean, welcoming environment for patients and relatives.o Assess patients health care needs and complete all required documentation.o Ensure patients requirements are met with dignity, compassion and empathy.o Be non-judgemental in your approach to patient care and attitudes.o Ensure any concerns are reported to the nurse in charge in a timely manner.Main duties of the jobAttached you will find the person specification document which provides more detail about the essential and desirable skills and experience needed for this role. And due to the sensitivity of some of our admissions; compassion and a non-judgemental approach is a must.The successful candidate will be involved in safe admissions and discharges of patients, monitoring patients post-operatively – ensuring that deteriorations are recognised and escalated to the Nurse in charge promptly.
