Senior Geotechnical EngineerSalary: £45,000 – £55,000Location: BelfastHours: 37.5 per weekBenefits: life assurance, health cash plan, hybrid working, multiple social/team building eventsOverviewOur client is a leading consultancy who is looking for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to work on projects across the UK and Ireland. This position is a key hire for our client because the Geotechnical Engineer will initially be working independently.There is a strong opportunity to grow your own team and take on more responsibilities down the line.They work on an excellent variety of work, from building projects, to renewables and marine.Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct site assessments and manage ground investigations
• Review and produce reports on soil parameters, foundations, and contamination
• Lead geotechnical design, including slope stability analysis, shallow foundation, pile, retaining wall, soil nail, ground anchor design, and piling platforms
• Design temporary works structures for deep excavations
• Supervise technicians and attend client meetings
• Ensure project compliance with health, safety, and quality standards

Requirements:

• Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering (or related)
• Strong geotechnical design experience (ideally 5+ years)
• Must have prior UK design experience
• Proficient in design software and MS Office
• Strong communication, project management, and problem-solving skills
• Willing to travel; full driving licence preferred
