You will be responsible for understanding our customers’ business and technical needs and to work with them in the capacity of technical evangelist and trusted advisor in crafting the next generation Intelligent systems.ResponsibilitiesUnderstand your customer’s technical requirements, design technical solutions, and showcase them through product presentations, discovery workshops, proof of concepts, and evaluations, to secure the technical sale. * Be the customer facing evangelist by guiding your customers and sharing your expertise.

  • Partner closely with your Account Manager and be focused on hunting for new logos and new business.
  • Manage all aspects of the technical needs of the assigned territory utilizing all available resources.
  • Increase Wind River market share with each customer.
  • Manage Trade Shows and Seminars.

ABOUT YOUCore Competencies & Demonstrated SuccessThe ideal candidate will have 7+ years of software development and solutions architecting, with experience in the following areas:

  • Hands on experience in Linux
  • Hands on software development experience in the C or C++ language is essential, and experience or interest in the following are desirable: Python, Rust, Java, etc.
  • Demo development and delivery experience (internal and/or external).
  • Experience with DevSecOps development methodologies including an understanding of tools such as Gitlab, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, etc. is desired.
  • Experience with Cloud Native technologies including Kubernetes, containers, microservices, VMs, etc.
  • VMware experience is a plus.
  • Understanding of writing code for microprocessors including real-time operating systems (RTOS) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with software development for safety regulated industries such as Financial, Medical, Industrial, or Auto will be a plus.

Qualifications

  • BSCS or BSEE is required.
  • Excellent communication skills exhibited through white boarding, technical presentations, white papers, and demonstrations.
  • Experience interfacing with internal and/or external customers.
  • Experience responding to customer RFPs is desirable.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated self-starter and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to travel to customers and trade shows, when required, within the US and Canada.
  • Positive Attitude.
  • Strong growth mindset, continuous learner, and adaptive to the Wind River culture.
  • Residence in Canada, or northern U.S. states
  • Ability to work in U.S. or Canada without any requirement of visa sponsorship/transfer now or at any time in the future.
