Job description

Due to our clients securing new Projects all over NI / Ireland / UK, they are looking to strengthen the Team with a Senior Estimator.You would be joining a leading Contractor, providing Building Construction & Refurbishment, Restoration and Conservation, and Civil Engineering services.Day to Day:

• Oversee projects to ensure costs remain in line with forecasts.
• Compile bids for work.
• Calculate the cost of materials, transport, labour and equipment hire.
• Obtain quotes for all predicted requirements from sub-contractors and suppliers.
• Collate detailed price lists of everything needed on each construction project and produce a cost summary.
• Read blueprints and take measurements.
• Prepare and submit quotations for work.

Qualifications:

• Degree educated Quantity Surveying or Construction.
• 5 – 10 years’ experience in a similar role QS / Estimating.
• Experience working with the JCT & NEC suite of contracts.
• Confident management and communication skills.
• An astute attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• The successful candidate will be a highly organised, motivated, and efficient individual.
