Job Summary
KEMRON Environmental Services, Inc. is seeking a Senior Environmental Project Manager to join and report through its collaborative team based out of Marietta, OH. This individual will serve a key function in identifying and managing environmental/engineering projects and proposals, conducting engineering research and analysis, and supervising field investigations and laboratory analysis. KEMRON Environmental Services, Inc. provides engineering and environmental consulting services for various industry, development, and government entities throughout the U.S. Our employees collaborate within their home office and with other KEMRON locations to provide the best team to serve our clients. Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Hydrogeology, or other relevant science field. Master’s degree preferred;
• In-depth knowledge and understanding of EPA, CERCLA, and RCRA regulations;
• At least 8 years of direct, practical experience with RCRA and/or CERCLA environmental investigation and remediation projects, with progressive project management responsibilities and regulatory interaction;
• Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining client relationships, expanding work with existing clients, pursuing new clients, and supporting business development activities;
• Professional Geologist (PG) or Professional Engineer (PE) preferred;
• Strong people, project, and client management skills;
• Strong commitment to safety and quality work environment;
• Knowledge of quantitative/technical analyses and related software;
• Excellent public speaking, written, and verbal communication skills;
• Strong attention to detail and quality with excellent analytical, multitasking, judgment and critical thinking capabilities;
• Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment;
• Ability to travel to client sites and various KEMRON offices; ability to traverse uneven terrain, climb stairs, and otherwise possess mobility for both office and field work;
• Possess reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license in good standing.
Responsibilities
• This key KEMRON team member will identify and manage environmental and engineering consulting projects and proposals, conducting research and analysis, planning, scheduling, supervising and managing field investigations and laboratory analyses with subsequent interpretation and reporting.
• In this role, you will have the opportunity to manage a diverse range of projects that include regulatory analysis and decision-making, compliance assurance, and investigatory and problem-solving related to environmental protection that will return impacted properties to productive and safe commercial, industrial and/or residential use.
• The following duties and responsibilities are included:
- Perform complex analyses for specific portions of broader environmental consulting projects, and identify and manage project risks;Participate in the identification and pursuit of new clients, develop additional work within an existing project and/or client group, and attend business development meetings with new and existing clients;
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships and identify opportunities to expand KEMRON’s services and project opportunities;
- Provide direct oversight and management of mid-level and junior staff for specific project team assignments;
- Coach and train team members involved in your projects;
- Participate in interviewing and hiring staff;
- Supervise field activities, verify compliance with project standards, and manage subcontractors;
- Ensure that sample/data collection, analyses, evaluation and interpretation are completed correctly compared to project objectives, within budget, and on time;
- Manage and deliver on multiple projects and tasks within specific budgets, schedules, and deadlines;
- Prepare progress reports, project status presentations and lead related meetings with clients and stakeholders, draft change orders, track budget and schedule, and assure complete project closeout according to project requirements;
- Coordinate with KEMRON financial team members to ensure draft invoices, project billings, and payment collections are properly completed per project requirements;
- Effectively lead preparation, organize, write, and edit reports, draft proposals, and other documents;
- Coordinate with other office locations and/or within the same or different disciplines on an as-needed basis;
- Interface effectively and professionally with clients, regulators, project stakeholders, contractors, subcontractors, staff, project personnel, supervisors, and others;
- Report through the Marietta, OH office. Candidates located in Ohio or a neighboring state may be considered, provided they can regularly attend in-person team and client meetings, support staff mentoring, conduct regional and local business development, and travel to project sites as required; and,
- Perform other duties as requested.
