Job introductionAbout the roleWould you like to be part of leading an innovative, values-led, and highly supportive Educational Psychology Service (EPS), which has a wide variety of types of work including a strong early intervention and traded offer?If you do, we can offer you a permanent fulltime Senior EP role where you will work alongside another Senior EP in leading and managing the EPs in our Eastbourne office.As a Senior EP in East Sussex EPS, you will have a good balance of core, traded and statutory work and the autonomy to apply psychology in ways that align with your values and interests. You will contribute to the strategic leadership of the service through a distributed leadership model, alongside six other Senior EPs, a Deputy PEP, and the PEP.You’ll work with other services to provide a Team Around the School approach to early intervention and prevention, including systemic as well as individual work. You will provide line management supervision to a small group of EPs and take part in our model of peer supervision across the service.We are looking for candidates who:
- Have strong leadership and management skills
- Empower other people to take an active role in creating positive change
- Remain non-judgemental and supportive when encountering difficult interactions
- Enable children and young people to participate meaningfully in decisions that affect them across the system
- Actively promote and support educational and social inclusion.
