This leader must balance managing and implementing programs while leading the strategy. You are a systems thinker with the skills to analyze data, define problem statements, innovate, and build talent solutions to meet the needs of the business and influence priorities with data-driven recommendations.This role sits on the People and Culture team, supporting all team members across Vistaprint. The team will partner with our parent company, Cimpress, to scale talent programs and practices throughout other parts of the organization. The Senior Director, Global Talent Management and Development is a strategic leader responsible for driving the company’s talent strategy and fostering an impactful, engaged workforce. This role will be responsible for all aspects of talent management, leadership development, performance management, succession planning, and organizational effectiveness initiatives. You will work closely with HRBPs and other Centers of Excellence (DEI, Talent Acquisition, Comms) to ensure our talent management and development processes are delivered, scaled, and improved upon. This work includes leading the talent rhythms throughout the year, including annual reviews, talent reviews, and promotions, and guiding comprehensive succession planning, critical role mapping, talent movement, and leadership development across a global organization. The Talent team also partners with leaders to consistently inspect and assess their organizational design, the depth of their leadership pipeline, capacity needs, and mapping of critical talent and critical roles.Talent Strategy
- Create and implement a comprehensive talent strategy aligned with Vistaprint’s business goals and culture.
- Develop programs for high-potential employees, mid-level managers, and executives to prepare future leaders and enhance organizational capabilities.
- Design and shape the talent philosophy across the company that connects to our views on growth, development, evaluation, and compensation.
- Oversee succession planning processes and talent review strategy to identify gaps, promote internal mobility, and ensure leadership continuity.
Talent Management
- Develop and iterate on biannual and annual talent review processes to ensure equitable talent evaluation outcomes.
- Create promotion processes that are efficient and consistent and ensure we are setting a higher standard with every promotion.
- Build manager and leadership capability in managing, assessing, evaluating, and developing talent.
- Support executives with proactive talent management plans that ensure we have the right talent in the right roles.
- Build success profiles for specific levels and roles and support leadership in calibrating talent to a high standard.
- Establish success metrics and goals for top talent retention, attrition, promotion, and org health practices.
Leadership Development
- Create and deliver leadership development programs that scale across the organization and build a strong pipeline of future leaders.
- Establish metrics to measure the effectiveness of talent development and organizational initiatives, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with business outcomes.
- Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership, using data to tell the story of our talent’s growth and organizational progress.
Organizational Effectiveness
- Partner with business leaders to assess organizational needs and implement solutions to improve effectiveness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional leaders for gap analysis in team performance, communication, and alignment, creating targeted development and restructuring initiatives that drive organizational productivity and cohesion.
- Create scalable solutions that optimize workflows, enhance decision-making processes, and strengthen team structures, ensuring the organization is agile, resilient, and prepared for future growth
Performance Management
- Design and implement performance management systems that drive accountability, development, and high performance.
- Develop a continuous learning and development framework that encourages skill-building, performance excellence, and professional growth at all levels.
- Develop manager proficiency in managing talent performance.
Team Leadership
- Hire, develop, and lead a high-performing Talent and Organizational Effectiveness team.
- Create a compelling, innovative vision and strategy for the team.

- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Talent Management, Organizational Development, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in talent management and organizational development.
- Demonstrates business and HR acumen, including problem-solving skills, critical thinking and analytical acuity
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful talent strategies.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic problem solver with a data-driven approach.
- Passion for developing people and building a high-performing culture.
Nice to Have:
- Master’s Degree in Business, Organizational Psychology, Human Resources Management or related field
- Executive coaching certification or experience as an HR business partner to senior executives
- Experience leading organizational design efforts to accelerate business growth
- Demonstrated agility, growth mindset, and ability to navigate ambiguity and thrive in a fast-paced environment
