Mogo is looking for a high performing Sr. DevOps Engineer to join our DevOps team. The ideal candidate for this position knows how to best facilitate developers and product owners with existing workflows and make improvements as required. You will be proactive and help drive our hands-on effort in providing operational and security best practices as part of Mogo’s rapid development cycles. In addition to being technically proficient, we are also looking for an engineer who doesn’t mind cracking a joke or two with us as a member of our tight-knit team, and has a strong love of technology. Bonus points if you have your own homelab and love talking about it.The base salary range for this role is $100,000 – $150,000.

- Improve existing pipelines for releases
- Implement new technologies as needed with automation in mind
- Proactive approach to addressing issues before they occur
- Build and maintain modern cloud infrastructure for maximum security, reliability, and uptime
- Have experience documenting your work and understand it’s importance for sharing and teaching
- Be part of a rotating on call schedule (ideally PST) that ensures most of your evenings and weekends are your own
- Improve on existing services to find efficiencies or better ways of doing things
- Assist the team in designing solutions with a security mindset
- Work with an IaaC mindset, ensuring that our processes are repeatable and versionable
- Act as a brand ambassador for Mogo, regularly using our suite of products, sharing the brand with friends and family, and providing feedback to the team for improvements
What you’ll need:
- Experience with AWS a must, OCI would be beneficial
- 5+ years of experience in a DevOps, SRE, or similar role
- Strong communication skills as well as the ability to work independently
- Familiarity with tooling such as:
- Kubernetes (Helm, EKS, OKE, Traefik, Vault)
- Infra as Code and Config Management (Terraform, Ansible)
- Code and Deployment (GitHub, CI/CD, Docker Registries, ArgoCD, Artifactory, )
- Logging and Monitoring (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana)
- Bash, Python, Ruby
- An ability to handle a complex and fast changing environment
- Strong network, web and application troubleshooting skills
- A compulsive need to automate repetitive tasks
- Experience in a DevSecOps role would be beneficial

- Platform: MERN (MongoDB, Express, React, Node), Ruby on Rails
