You’ll ensure that data flows seamlessly across the organisation, working with cutting-edge tools to enable consistent and reliable data sharing. From handling high-value projects to managing data pipelines, storage solutions, and interfacing with digital platforms, your expertise will ensure that data remains trusted, accurate, and delivered in a timely manner.Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Support, optimise and maintain data pipelines of our complex, high-value digital products and well as support of other digital products/projects
- Identify, design and implement process improvements in data pipelines as well as automating manual processes, increase scalability, reduce run time and optimise cost
- Build analytic tools and solutions to support the business in data driven decision making and actionable insights
- Translate business problems into data analytics requirements and solutions that deliver value through analysing and processing data, building and maintaining models and report templates, and developing dynamic, data-driven solutions
- Resolving raw data questions using a storytelling approach to provide business clients with detailed, actionable solutions and provide advisory service to business domain analysts and citizen data engineers to assist with technical work in agreed territories
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- Proven ability to lead small data engineering teams technically while working on multiple complex data engineering products simultaneously to ensure business continuity
- Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Previous experience working in a team in one of the following functions: data engineering and analytics, database development along with knowledge of modern programming languages & scripts; Python or equivalent (i.e. Java) development experience
- Experience of designing data models / data architecture and SQL development
- Experience in creating tests; unit testing, data quality tests, assumption testing, managing CI-CD pipelines as well as DevOps Methodologies
