As our business looks to deliver its ambitious strategy of growth, we are looking for a Senior Migration Specialist to join our Group IT Applications team at Cowick on a temporary basis, either as a 12-month fixed-term contract or a 6-month rolling contract.You will be responsible for working collaboratively with key stakeholders across Product Stewardship, Regulatory, Supply chain and IT to support projects relating to the migration of Raw Material & Product Data from existing sources / systems into a new Product Information Management System – censhare PIM.Who We’re Looking For:At Croda, we believe our people are the heart of our success.   • Proven experience in data migration projects, preferably in PIM, DAM, or ERP implementations.
  • Strong expertise in ETL tools (like Talend) and data transformation techniques (JSON, XML).
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, or other scripting languages for automation.
  • Knowledge of metadata structures, relational databases, and data modelling.
  • Hands-on experience with SharePoint, Excel, and Access data extraction.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with API integration and data mapping is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience with censhare PIM or similar PIM/DAM systems is desirable but not essential.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data migration and storage solutions is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience with regulatory or product information data management is desirable but not essential.
  • Knowledge of data governance and compliance best practices is desirable but not essential.

What You’ll Be Doing:The Senior Data Migration Specialist will lead the data migration strategy and execution for the censhare PIM deployment. They will be responsible for designing automated migration processes, ensuring data integrity, and collaborating with stakeholders to align migration efforts with business requirements;

  • Develop and implement the data migration strategy for censhare PIM.
  • Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from PDF, SharePoint, Excel, and Access.
  • Automate data migration processes using appropriate scripting and integration tools.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency throughout the migration.
  • Work closely with business users, IT teams, and project stakeholders to understand data structures and migration needs.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to a team of Data Migration Specialists.
  • Troubleshoot data migration issues and optimise performance.
  • Document migration processes and develop best practices for future use.
