Title: Data/Software Engineer
Work Type: Direct Hire
Location: Nashville, TN (Remote)
Salary: $135k – $145kKey Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes and data pipelines.
• Engineer and optimize databases to support analytics and software applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create data analytics solutions, including scorecards and future-state projections.
• Contribute to developing a small application to manage data beyond Power BI visualizations.
• Support performance data analysis and royalty collection workflows.

Required Skills and Experience

• Proficient in SQL with expertise in query optimization, database design, and engineering.
• Hands-on experience with ETL processes and tools.

Additional Skills:

• Proficiency in Python or Scala (Python preferred).
• Experience with tools such as Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and Data Warehousing.
• Knowledge of Datastage or SSIS.
• Familiarity with .NET (MVC, Core) and Visual Studio for UI components.

Nice-to-Have:

• Knowledge of Power BI and small-scale application development.

• Strong backend development skills with a focus on database and ETL design.
• Ability to balance work across data engineering, software development, and analytics (50% data-focused, 25% software, 25% analytics).
• Proactive problem-solver with the ability to drive data-centric projects to completion.

Expected salary

$135000 – 140000 per year
