University Hospitals of North Midlands is currently unable to provide sponsorship for Band 2 and Band 3 roles. If you hold a graduate visa, you are welcome to apply for this role however it is important to note that UHNM will be unable to offer sponsorship at the end of your graduate visa, you must also have at least six months until your graduate visa expires at the start of your employment for training and operational reasons.We are looking to recruit motivated and enthusiastic Senior Clinical Support workers to join our dynamic and friendly teams and provide safe and supportive care to patients, relatives and their loved ones. In this post you would be responsible for providing fundamental elements of patient care as directed by the qualified nursing/midwifery team to ensure our patients receive the highest standard of dignified and respectful care, in accordance with their care plans. We are looking for people who are compassionate and feel passionately about providing a level of care they would wish for their family and friends.Main duties of the jobThe successful applicants will be based at Royal Stoke University Hospital . As provision of care is a 24 hours, 7 days a week career, you will be required to work shifts, including nights, weekends and bank holidays.To apply for the post the applicant needs to be competent and proficient in the following skills:Taking Clinical Observations and Recording on Vitals/Papero Venepuncture
- Taking clinical observations
- Use of vital paco Glucose Monitoringo Pregnancy Testingo Urine Analysis (Strip)o Taking Fecal Sampleso Carry out 12 lead ECGo Observing patients for signs of agitation or distress (Clinical holding/Restraint)o Wound Observationo Simple Wound Dressingo Removal of Peripheral Cannulao Take Swabs (e.g. MRSA)o Support and Assist New Staff- Buddy System/Care Certificate Supervisor
