As the Sr Tax Analyst, you are primarily responsible for the preparation of tax returns and income tax provisions, managing audits by various taxation authorities, performing research, and providing tax advice to the business.This is a full-time salaried role located at our new head office in Downtown Calgary.WHAT YOU WILL DOPrepare Canadian income tax returns and related filings, ensuring compliance with regulations and accuracySupport the preparation of Canadian tax filings and compliance requirements for the company’s foreign investmentsCollaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely tax provisionsCoordinate and assist with the preparation of Scientific Research and Development (SR&ED) filingsPrepare Canadian indirect tax returns and ensure compliance with applicable regulationsAnalyze and review budgeting and long-range forecasting processes for current and deferred taxesContribute to tax planning and reorganization initiatives to optimize tax efficiencySupport Federal and Provincial tax audits by preparing and maintaining required documentation and resolving audit-related issuesRespond to tax inquiries and provide expert support to internal operations and finance teamsProvide support on all other tax-related matters and contribute to special projects as requiredWHAT WE NEED FROM YOUTo be successful in this role, we are looking for the following must-have qualifications and experience:Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field (or equivalent experience)CPA designation with completion of the CPA Canada In-Depth Tax CourseMinimum of 7 years of experience in corporate taxStrong knowledge of IFRS; US tax experience is considered an assetSelf-motivated with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)Proven organizational abilities to manage multiple priorities effectivelyExpertise in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting complex data to draw logical conclusionsProficient in Excel, SAP, TaxPrep, and CanTax FormMasterDemonstrates a high level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountabilityStrong teamwork and team-building skills with a collaborative mindsetResults-driven and adaptable, with a resourceful, “can-do” attitudeProactive problem-solver who takes ownership of challenges and delivers solutionsWHAT WE OFFERWe offer our employees comprehensive and flexible benefits, competitive compensation, annual incentives, and a rewards program.
