About your next employerVANRATH are exclusively partnered with a tech start-up based in Belfast who are at the beginning of their exciting journey, with a niche market space. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Senior Accountant will be an integral part of the team, assisting with the development and implementation of the wider finance function. This is the first hire for the business outside the senior leadership team and can offer the opportunity to become a permanent post.The Senior Accountant will be involved in the selection and implementation of a company ERP system, including the design and processing of workflows, and further recruitment within the finance team. This is the ideal role for a senior professional who has previous experience in a similar environment, along with having a flexible approach to work.About you
- Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for details
- Management accounts experience
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with non-finance staff
- Available at short notice
What you’ll do
- Deliver timely and accurate monthly reports to management teams
- Identify and implement controls & procedures across the finance function
- Lead on ERP system implementation
- General ledger maintenance, balance sheet reconciliations, preparation of monthly management accounts
- Ensure timely completion of statutory accounts
