As a key member of the Financial Reporting team, the role of Senior Accountant will be involved in the production of the Society’s Regulatory Reporting to the PRA and the Bank of England with additional responsibility to drive improvements and efficiencies across the reporting process.This role will suit someone who is looking for a fresh challenge to broaden their financial accounting experience whilst also supporting major business initiatives.This role sits within the Financial Reporting team and is a great opportunity to be part of a team delivering essential reporting to the PRA and the Bank of England. You can also find out more about our approach to .If we receive a high volume of relevant applications, we may close the advert earlier than the advertised date, so please apply as soon as you can.What you’ll be doingYou’ll support the Senior Finance Manager and the Head of External Financial Reporting, taking a primary responsibility for producing reports, understanding reported information, maintaining quality assurance and control.As a role model you’ll also drive the implementation of efficiencies, playing an important role in the ongoing financial success of the Finance and Efficiency community and helping towards the achievement of Nationwide’s strategic goals, as well as overseeing delivery through others while following internal controls frameworks and performing quality reviews.About youWe expect you to have the following:

  • Be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with proven post qualification experience
  • Have experience of Statutory/regulatory reporting
  • Experience of examining financial reports and making recommendations
