Through your support, you will transform the lives of disengaged, at-risk learners within Birmingham backed by the support of our committed Tuition Consultants.Regardless if you are a qualified teacher or an experienced tutor, this role is ideal for those eager to work via flexible 1:1 tutoring with young people demonstrating a variety of learning needs in a holistic, creative manner. Your role as a SEN/SEND tutor:

  • You will design personalised Maths, English or Science lessons that engage, inspire, and help learners that demonstrate Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND), Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH), Moderate and Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD / SLD), or other additional educational needs progress.
  • Deliver tuition sessions directly with students in their own homes or schools – in-person tuition only.
  • Regular monitoring of learner progress through regular reports, providing constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes of the young people you support.
  • Collaboration with parents, guardians, and schools to ensure your learner’s engagement in education.
  • Maintain accurate session records through our virtual learning platform.

Requirements for our SEN/SEND tutors:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum of 6 months teaching or tutoring experience in the UK, with an emphasis on working with learners demonstrating SEN/SEND.
  • Eligibility to live and work in the UK.
  • 2 references related to your work in education – covering the last 2 years of your employment.
  • Enhanced DBS

£33 per hour
