Location: Plymouth
Salary: £83.33 per day

You’ll be there to help them learn, develop their abilities and raise their self-esteem. You will need to be resilient and dedicated, but those huge small victories that you achieve will be something you’re really proud of.1:1 KS3-4 SEN TA – ASD/ SEMH – Candidates with Drving licence are wantedExperience and Qualifications:

• Relevant experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), particularly Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
• A relevant qualification in education, childcare, or SEN support (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification).

Skills and Abilities:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff.
• Ability to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and support learning activities tailored to the needs of SEN students.
• Proficiency in using educational technology and resources to support learning.

Personal Attributes:

• Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards working with children with diverse needs.
• Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
• Commitment to promoting inclusion and acceptance of all students.

Responsibilities:

• Providing 1:1 support to students in Key Stages 3 and 4, helping them overcome barriers to learning.
• Assisting with the development of social skills and emotional regulation.
• Collaborating with teachers, SENCO, and other professionals to plan and deliver tailored support.
• Monitoring and reporting on student progress and adapting support strategies as needed.
• Ensuring the safety and well-being of students at all times.
