Location: Plymouth
Salary: £83.33 per day

Although they might appear insignificant at first glance, they collectively contribute to making a substantial impact.You’ll be working with our team in Plymouth, children and young people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder/Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. You’ll be there to help them learn, develop their abilities and raise their self-esteem. You will need to be resilient and dedicated, but those huge small victories that you achieve will be something you’re really proud of.1:1 KS3-4 SEN TA – ASD/ SEMH – Candidates with Drving licence are wantedExperience and Qualifications:
- Relevant experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), particularly Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
- A relevant qualification in education, childcare, or SEN support (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification).
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff.
- Ability to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and support learning activities tailored to the needs of SEN students.
- Proficiency in using educational technology and resources to support learning.
Personal Attributes:
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards working with children with diverse needs.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
- Commitment to promoting inclusion and acceptance of all students.
Responsibilities:
- Providing 1:1 support to students in Key Stages 3 and 4, helping them overcome barriers to learning.
- Assisting with the development of social skills and emotional regulation.
- Collaborating with teachers, SENCO, and other professionals to plan and deliver tailored support.
- Monitoring and reporting on student progress and adapting support strategies as needed.
- Ensuring the safety and well-being of students at all times.
