We’re Hiring an SEN Teaching Assistant to work in Portsmouth. We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to work within Special Education Needs schools in Portsmouth and provide vital support to students, across both Primary and Secondary ages.Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with SEN (including Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, speech and language needs, physical needs).
Assist in the planning and delivery of individualized learning activities.
Help students with social, emotional, and behavioral development.
Support teachers in creating an inclusive classroom environment.
Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback and updates as necessary.
Assist with personal care and other needs as required.
Uphold safeguarding policies and protocols at all times.
Requirements:
Previous experience working with children with SEN in a education or alternative setting.
A patient, caring, and empathetic approach to supporting children.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
Adaptability to meet the individual needs of each student.
A genuine passion for making a positive difference in children’s lives.
Resilience and a calm nature.
