Education: A degree in natural resources or related field is beneficial but not required. Relevant experience holds greater importance.

Technical Skills:
Licenses or Certifications: Current Wilderness First Aid or Wilderness First Responder certification, CPR training and current chainsaw and crosscut saw certification preferred but not required; however, the Greenway Trust may provide an opportunity for these certifications/recertifications within the first three months of hire. A current driver’s license, access to reliable transportation, and insurable driving record are required. Must pass WA State Patrol criminal records check and a background check in any previous state of residency.

The pay for this position is $24 per hour.
Benefits
A complete list of benefits for seasonal employees can be found on the Greenway Trust’s Career page. Select benefits include a $250 gear stipend (at the start of the season), paid time off, optional participation in an Individual Coverage Health Reimbursement Agreement ($200 monthly contributed by the Greenway Trust), and optional participation in a 403(b)-retirement plan. Employees completing the entire term (ending October 30th) will receive a $500 end of season bonus.

Work Schedule
This is a full-time, non-exempt position working ten-hour days (7:00am to 5:30pm), Tuesday through Friday, and Wednesday through Saturday when Saturday volunteer events (2-3 per month) are scheduled.
Work Location
The crew meets at the Greenway Trust’s Issaquah Field Office (1980 NW Sammamish Rd, Issaquah, WA 98027) and will work on surrounding public and private lands using Greenway Trust vehicles.
Physical Requirements
Physical requirements include working in all types of weather; walking up to five or more miles across uneven terrain; transporting tools, camping equipment and event supplies (e.g., shovels, gravel) and carry loads up to 50 pounds; and visual and auditory ability to identify and respond to environmental hazards.

The Greenway Trust provides members with both long and short-sleeved shirts and hats, along with a $250 gear stipend at the start of the season to help employees purchase required personal gear. Additionally, the Greenway Trust loans the following gear annually:
