Posted on behalf ofAbout:EnergyOur client, a leading battery software company is currently hiring a Scientist / Battery Scientist. The successful candidate will focus on conducting research, performing electrochemical analysis, and developing insights that will inform battery design, testing, and modellingThe Scientist / Battery Scientist will:

• Conduct cutting-edge research on battery technologies, including lithium-ion, solid-state, and other emerging chemistries.
• Perform electrochemical testing and analysis to characterise battery performance, degradation, and failure modes.
• Develop methodologies for improving battery energy density, cycle life, safety, and efficiency.
• Design experiments to optimise battery cell architecture, focusing on areas such as thermal management, charge transfer, and ion transport.
• Analyse results from testing and provide insights that guide the design and development of more advanced battery systems.

The Scientist / Battery Scientist will have:

• 3-5 years working in industry or research application-oriented environment.
• Hands-on experience with glovebox operations and working in controlled environments.
• Expertise in battery cell testing, including half-cell assembly and performance evaluation.
• Experience with electrochemical analysis techniques for battery materials and cells.
• Proven ability to develop and optimize electrochemical processes for battery applications.
