Salary: $23/hour

An Edmonton client is seeking a Scale House Operator to join their team.

Scale House Operator Highlights:

• Operate a truck scale to weigh materials brought in
• Direct customers and drivers to appropriate locations for loading and unloading
• Prepare accurate loading documents for outbound trailer loads
• Coordinate with yard inspectors and operators to minimize congestion and maintain smooth traffic flow
• Use handheld mobile radios to communicate between the yard and scale efficiently
• Maintain an organized scale house and ensure all paperwork is accurate and properly filed
• Answer phone calls, provide pricing information, and direct inquiries to the appropriate contacts
• Open and sort mail
• Maintain office records, filing systems, and tracking spreadsheets
• Ensure office equipment is maintained and supplies are stocked
• Arrange couriers and trucks for pickups and deliveries
• Process supplier payments and prepare cheques
• Perform additional administrative and operational duties as required

Requirements:

• Previous experience in an administrative, logistics, or scale house role preferred
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient with basic computer systems and record-keeping
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Reliable and able to work independently and as part of a team

Hours & Wage:

• $23/hour
• Hours to be determined
