This role is ideal for someone with a robust background in Salesforce architecture and development, capable of independently overseeing our Salesforce ecosystem. You’ll work closely with both the development and administrative teams, offering technical leadership, solution design, and hands-on coding expertise to streamline our Salesforce platform. Our goal is to create a more efficient, standardized Salesforce environment, minimize custom code, and leverage out-of-the-box functionalities wherever possible.In this dual-role capacity, you will be expected to:
- Architect & Implement Solutions: Design scalable Salesforce solutions that address complex business requirements, applying best practices for maintainable and optimized architecture. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the solution aligns with broader business objectives and integrates smoothly within the existing tech stack.
- Drive Platform Optimization: Assess the current customized Salesforce environment and implement improvements to simplify and standardize processes, moving toward more native functionality with minimal technical debt.
- Provide Technical Leadership: Act as the primary Salesforce expert, guiding administrators and junior developers in understanding the technical landscape and best practices for Salesforce architecture and development.
- Lead Communication Across Teams: Ensure cohesive communication between development and admin teams, clarifying requirements, explaining technical solutions, and maintaining transparency throughout the process. Assist in translating business requirements into effective technical solutions.
- Deliver and Document Solutions: Implement custom code (Apex, LWC, triggers) and solutions as needed. Document architectures, processes, and workflows in clear, accessible formats, such as LucidChart, to keep all stakeholders aligned and informed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct technical discovery, problem-solving, and solution design sessions with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Develop custom Salesforce solutions when required, while championing the use of Salesforce’s built-in tools and declarative solutions.
- Translate business needs into effective, scalable architecture and design.
- Evaluate and refactor existing customizations to reduce complexity and technical debt.
- Communicate effectively across teams, supporting smooth collaboration and consistent alignment on project goals.
- Actively participate in or lead design sessions to provide expertise on Salesforce architecture, especially around Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and integrations (MuleSoft experience is a plus).
Requirements:
- 5+ years of Salesforce development experience, with a focus on both custom development and architectural best practices.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce Sales Cloud and Service Cloud, with experience in configuring and customizing the platform to meet complex business needs.
- Demonstrated experience in Salesforce architecture and an ability to create scalable, optimized solutions.
- Proficiency in Apex, LWC, and triggers; familiarity with integration tools like MuleSoft is a plus.
- Exceptional communication skills for interfacing with non-technical stakeholders and collaborating across teams.
- Strong experience with Salesforce best practices, standards, and compliance, with the ability to provide technical guidance and mentorship.
- Proven ability to work independently, proactively engaging stakeholders as needed and delivering solutions that align with business goals.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
- Understanding of Salesforce data modeling
- Strong knowledge of Salesforce security models, governor limits, and performance optimization techniques
- Expertise in Salesforce APIs, web services, and integration patterns in Salesforce
- Proven ability to design and implement complex workflows, triggers, and batch processes
- Expertise in Apex, SOQL and SOSL
- Expertise in JavaScript, CSS, and HTML
- Expertise in version control systems (i.e. Git)
- Familiarity in third party deployment tools (i.e. Gearset or Copado)
- Experience with Salesforce DX, DevOps processes, and continuous integration
