Represents Novo Nordisk to selected key diabetes/academic centers, and large community/teaching hospitals as a leader in the diabetes care market, within an assigned territory and surrounding territories.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Key Areas of Responsibility

• Develops, implements and updates territory business plan in order to drive sales results with target audiences; regularly informs District Business Manager regarding activities, market trends and territory issues
• Analyzes sales data to determine progress and identify areas of opportunity; incorporates into territory plan
• Customizes sales calls addressing opportunities with, and needs of, targeted healthcare providers
• Organizes and conducts product education sessions within budgetary guidelines
• Liaises with Pharmacists and community hospitals to ensure proper and optimal product usage
• Attends conferences, symposiums and seminars in order to promote company products and provide current information to customers, as well as to obtain and share market information when appropriate
• Demonstrates leadership at National Sales meetings, District meetings and training programs
• Manages territory CHE and sample budgets
• Provides leadership by addressing district and corporate objectives (sharing best business practices, presenting at regional meetings, temporarily covering vacant territories or district, etc.)
• May be called upon by district and head office to implement or lead regional initiatives
• May participate in cross-functional teams as requested
• Takes on a mentorship role for new hires or other colleagues requiring assistance

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSRegular office space is home based. Requires significant local travel and may require occasional overnight travel.QUALIFICATIONS

• University degree or business qualifications
• EXPERIENCE (Minimum Requirements)
• Minimum 5 years pharmaceutical experience years
