Job Description:Sales Operations internship (1873)We have an opportunity within our commercial operations team as a Sales Operations intern. You will be interacting and collaborating with Travelport’s entire commercial operations community, engaging with a range of other teams in the business function, allowing you to gain exposure and experience across the business.You’ll be playing a pivotal role in supporting weekly and monthly business performance reviews, challenging the teams and tracking progress on associated priorities. You will regularly use Microsoft applications to build reports and implement process improvements, so an analytical mindset is crucial!What’s Travelport?Travelport is a place of opportunity. While we can’t solve mosquito bites or lost luggage, we can simplify a lot of the technical parts of travel, and we’re looking for the best thinkers to help us do it.Annually, we run a 13-month (July – July) internship program comprised of four pillars:
- The Job – You’ll get the opportunity to dive into the world of sales enablement and work with other teams to ensure they have the right tools available to sell efficiently and close deals. Also, you will have the opportunity to shadow various departments, allowing you to gain valuable insights and determine the career you may want to pursue in the future.
- Corporate Social Responsibility – You’ll have the opportunity to give back to the community by fundraising and volunteering for both local and global charities alongside your fellow interns.
- Learning and Development – You’ll receive training sessions designed to support your personal and professional development while also equipping you with industry specific skills.
- ‘Internpreneurship’ (see what we did there?) – You’ll have the opportunity to develop solutions to real business problems which Travelport has and present your ideas to the Senior leadership team and/or external companies.

The sales enablement internship:This is a great opportunity to gain valuable insights into the world of sales enablement where you’ll be part of a small, strategic, collaborative discipline responsible for providing the sales force with the right tools, skills, methods, content, cadence, rigor, process and data to help them plan and engage with their prospects, sell more efficiently, and close deals. We bring together the people and resources necessary to provide content, training and coaching services to internal customer-facing audiences in a way that aligns with the customer journey.What kind of work could you be doing?
- One of your core responsibilities will be supporting the organization and management of our learning platform to ensure our sales representatives have the right access to the material they need.
- You will support various initiatives aimed at enhancing the skills, knowledge, and productivity of our sales and customer-facing teams, including supporting the creation of training material.
- You will assist users with troubleshooting and responding to queries regarding the platform.
- You will be involved in various projects looking at opportunities to optimize process.
