Our client, who is a dynamic and growing manufacturing company located just outside Saratoga Springs, NY is seeking a Sales Engineer to join its team. This full-time position is ideal for a self-motivated individual who thrives at the intersection of engineering and sales, especially in the custom construction solutions space.Responsibilities of the Sales Engineer will include:

• Drive sales growth by developing new customer relationships, increasing market share, and identifying untapped opportunities in the custom formwork industry
• Collaborate with existing clients to assess upcoming needs for products and services
• Analyze construction contract plans to create scope sheets that support accurate quote development
• Prepare precise and timely cost estimates and proposals
• Actively follow up on quotations and work to convert leads into successful sales
• Offer technical guidance and deliver presentations to architects, engineers, and contractors
• Attend industry tradeshows and visit client sites when necessary to build rapport and identify opportunities

Job RequirementsQualifications of the Sales Engineer:

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as Civil, Mechanical, or Architectural Engineering
• Proven sales experience, ideally within the construction or manufacturing industries
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to interpret construction documents
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Excellent communication skills with a confident, outgoing personality
• Proficiency in computer applications; experience with Rhino modeling software is a plus
