By proactively keeping them safe, you’ll also empower them to feel confident in their roles and motivated to do their best work.Key job responsibilities
– Monitor site performance against set KPIs and create plans to improve processes
– Set up workplace health and safety programmes and arrange training sessions
– Analyse safety metrics and incident trends to help colleagues plan appropriate resources for areas with the highest risk
– Carry out audits to make sure your site is compliant with relevant health and safety laws and implement solutions where you identify risksA day in the life
You’ll be based on location at one of our sites, which could be one of our fulfilment centres, sortation centres or delivery stations. Being on site means that you can keep a close eye on the processes. As well as helping us stay on top of health and safety compliance, you’ll spot potential issues and identify opportunities for improvement. That means working closely with people across the business to get to know the risks they experience and gathering data to identify smarter and safer ways that we can work. You’ll also set up training and other programmes to help everyone follow new safety processes and reach new standards.About the team
Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) plays a crucial role in keeping our people mentally and physically well at work. Our team works with managers, associates and local governments across our sites, making sure we’re complying with Amazon’s policies and legal regulations, and that our workplaces are safe.
There is a range of opportunities within the team, from Health and Safety Technicians to Programme Managers. No matter what your role is, you’ll play a part in developing, implementing and upholding our high safety and wellbeing standards. You could work on a variety of projects alongside colleagues from across the business, ranging from equipment and process inspections to assessing processes, building and equipment design.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS– A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or equivalent level of qualification in line with the European Qualifications Framework (EFQ), in a health and safety related field such as Traditional Engineering topics, Production, Manufacturing, Safety or the Environment.
– The NEBOSH General Certificate.
– Alternatively, a NEBOSH Diploma or an IOSH Diploma in Occupational Safety is required.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS– Experience of Lean, 5S, or Kaizen methodologies
