Job Description:Retail Applications Senior Sales Manager UKYou and OracleAs the Retail Applications Senior Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and establishing our market presence for our market leading Retail SaaS solutions within the UK & Ireland.Oracle is a key player in the SaaS Retail Applications market with a complete set of mission-critical retail solutions, cloud services, and hardware which allows Retailers to gain the insights and agility they need to delight customers at every touchpoint.Key ResponsibilitiesReporting directly to the VP of Cloud Applications UKI, you will play a critical role in building and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders, identifying new business opportunities, and positioning our suite of Retail Applications to address the evolving needs of our Retail customers. This is a strategic leadership role that requires a good understanding of the Retail industry, strong sales acumen, and the ability to inspire and mentor a high-performing sales team.This is a first line manager role, with responsibility for 5 Retail Application Sales Representatives.Specific responsibilities include:

• Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue targets and market share growth within the UK and Ireland.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, influencers, and stakeholders within customers.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of sales professionals, providing guidance, support, and coaching to drive performance excellence while focusing on accelerating growth and exceeding customer expectations, ensuring you attract and retain top talent.
• Collaborate with supporting functions, enabling you and your team’s success.
• Implement the Oracle Retail Applications strategy throughout the territory, driving customer success.
• Identify emerging market trends, customer needs, and competitive threats to inform strategic decision-making and product development efforts.
• Drive the expansion of our customer base by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, including strategic partnerships and alliances.
• Establish and maintain a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement within the sales organisation.

Year One Critical Success Factors

• Successfully establish a go-to-market strategy for Retail Applications
• Develop & implement a 3-Plan that enable us to outgrowth the market each year for the next 3 years.
• As part of this, development a Demand Generation plan to deliver pipeline growth in line with our target of always having a minimum of 4x pipeline cover.
• Ensure we deliver or exceed annual Renewal, New & Expansion and Revenue targets.
• Ensure the team delivers against other key performance metrics such participation (every rep closing deals each quarter), predictability (delivering forecast commitments within the timescales committed) linearity (delivering business consistently from month to month, quarter to quarter) and high productivity per rep.
• Drive YOY Growth across the Retail Applications portfolio.
• Deliver on our People agenda.

Preferred Skills and ExperienceWe are looking for a strategic leader with a proven track record in sales management, a good understanding of the Retail market, ideally across several facets, including Merchandise Management, Point of Sale, Omnichannel, Supply Chain, ERP, HCM and CX (all not required). Candidates with strong experience in one or more of these will be considered. The successful applicant must have a passion for delivering innovative solutions that address the unique needs of their customers.

• Proven track record of success in sales leadership roles within the software industry, with specific experience selling SaaS into the Retail industry.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop a high-performing sales team.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of an organisation.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute complex sales strategies in a dynamic and competitive market environment.
• Results-oriented mindset with a track record of consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets and objectives.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and entrepreneurial environment, with a passion for driving positive change through technology.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to orchestrate and collaborate with diverse team members and external parties at the highest levels.

• Outstanding oral and written presentation communication skills
• Fluency in English is a must.
