Research Projects Assistant, Maternal Newborn Program – Women’s Health Research Institute

Reporting to the Research Projects Manager, Women’s Health Research Institute (WHRI), the Research Projects Assistant supports research facilitation within the Maternal Newborn program of BC Women’s Hospital + Health Centre. This position will assist in the recruitment of suitable research project participants by performing duties such as contacting eligible participants, communicating research projects goals and processes to participants, answering participant questions and reviewing and witnessing consent forms. The Research Projects Assistant will collect data for research by administering questionnaires or extracting data from hospital health records will assist with the collection of clinical samples for research as directed by the Research Manager or the PI. This position will assist in the preparation of study documents including ethical submissions, regulatory documents and hospital research approvals as required. The Research Project Assistant will also interact with clinical staff to introduce new studies into the program. Experience within a clinical research environment is strongly desired. Note that this position requires predominantly onsite work at BC Women’s Hospital + Health Centre.

Job Type: Temporary, Full-Time (Until June 30, 2026)
Salary: $48,476 – $63,624 per year. The starting salary for this position would be determined with consideration of the successful candidate’s relevant education and experience, and would be in alignment with the provincial compensation reference plan. Salary will be prorated accordingly for part time roles.
Location: 4500 Oak Street, Vancouver, BC, V6H 2N9
Hours of Work: Monday – Friday; 0800 – 1600
