https://aaes.uada.edu/research-locations/southwest-research-extension-center/Summary of Job Duties:The Research Field Technician for Horticulture is responsible for helping Program Technicians in the management of resources and research projects related to the areas of Horticulture and Plant Pathology. Responsibilities include site preparation, planting, irrigation, nutrient management, and harvest of specialty crops. Additionally, the candidate will be required to manage crops grown in the greenhouse. Other duties will include some lab work (routine procedures) in the plant pathology lab. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy.Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
The formal education or equivalent of a high school diploma, plus two years of experience in managing horticultural crops. Ability to operate tractors, RTVs, and four wheelers.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in a research setting. Experience managing research data regarding horticultural plants.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Familiarity with MS Office.
