Overview

The Repository Technician supports warehouse operations involving inventory management, storage, retrieval, and shipping of biological materials for commercial and government clients. This onsite position is based in Gaithersburg, MD and provides exposure to biorepository industry standards while supporting critical inventory, shipping, and material handling activities.
Seeking Repository Technician, ideally with warehouse, shipping, handling, or inventory management experience and experience supporting biorepository, laboratory, or regulated operations environments. Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Retrieve biomaterials from repository freezers, monitor storage systems, and follow PPE requirements when handling materials.
- Shipping & Receiving: Process incoming shipments and prepare biological materials and samples for outbound shipment.
- Cold Chain Operations: Maintain materials within temperature-controlled environments through monitoring of freezers, liquid nitrogen tanks, and storage systems.
- Documentation & Data Entry: Perform systematic data entry and maintain accurate records following established procedures.
- Quality & Compliance: Follow standard operating procedures, good documentation practices (GDP), and cGMP standards while supporting repository operations.
Qualifications
- Minimum requirement: HS Diploma and 1 year of experience.
- Experience in warehouse operations, shipping and handling, or inventory management.
- Ability to maintain inventory accuracy and differentiate batch numbers and item numbers with a
- High degree of attention to detail.
- Willingness and ability to learn inventory management and ERP systems.
- Ability to learn and follow quality control and quality assurance procedures.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English with strong organizational skills.
Benefits
The expected salary range for this position is $40,000 to $50,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience and qualifications as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional incentive compensation including regular merit increases and the corporate bonus program.
