Remote Medicaid/HIP Eligibility Specialist

Pay: $19/hour

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM (Full-Time)

Location: Fully Remote (Must reside full time in Indiana)

We’re hiring a Remote Medicaid/HIP Eligibility Specialist to support a healthcare enrollment team. This role focuses on reviewing hospital self-pay accounts and helping patients apply for Medicaid, HIP, or other financial assistance programs.

What You’ll Do:

• Review accounts for Medicaid/HIP eligibility
• Screen patients by phone and help gather needed documents
• Submit and follow up on applications until approved
• Track and update account status in system
• Work closely with patients and hospital staff in a professional, helpful manner

What We’re Looking For:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Must become a licensed Indiana Navigator within 90 days of hire
• 2+ year of clerical or admin experience
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills
• Comfortable working independently and using Excel/Outlook
• Experience with Medicaid, HIP, or hospital billing a plus

Remote Work Requirements

Work Environment

• Must have a quiet, dedicated workspace free from background noise (TV, conversations, etc.)
• A semi-private area is required to protect sensitive information
• Childcare must be arranged—this role cannot be performed while supervising children
• Must reside in Indiana

Internet & Equipment

• Reliable high-speed internet required:
• Minimum 50 Mbps download / 20 Mbps upload
• Must be hardwired via Ethernet (Wi-Fi not allowed)
• Internet is employee-paid; no reimbursement provided
• Company provides all required equipment (desktop, monitors, headset)—for employee use only
