Full time Regional Medical Director – Urgently Hiring + ProSal – Atlanta Metro / North Georgia area.A prestigious partner hospital is looking for an experienced and passionate Regional Medical Director to oversee a portfolio of 20-35 animal hospitals in the Atlanta Metro / North Georgia area . This field-based role offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with skilled veterinary teams, ensure the highest standards of patient care, and drive operational success across multiple locations. The Regional Medical Director will travel regularly within the region, working directly with hospital staff to elevate medical practices and improve overall hospital performance.Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and support veterinary teams, offering guidance on complex medical cases and creating a positive, collaborative work environment.
  • Ensure high-quality patient care by overseeing doctor interactions, reviewing medical protocols, and ensuring best practices are followed.
  • Assist in resolving staff and client conflicts, promoting effective communication and problem-solving solutions.
  • Work closely with practice managers and regional directors to optimize business operations and improve performance metrics across hospitals.
  • Conduct quarterly inspections of hospitals, maintaining high standards of care and operational excellence.
  • Review key performance indicators (KPIs) such as revenue, visits, and patient outcomes, identifying trends and implementing strategies for improvement.
  • Provide mentorship and career development support to new graduate veterinarians, helping them thrive in their roles.
  • Ensure compliance with medical, operational, and regulatory standards, including maintaining accurate licensing records and DEA logs.
  • Step in to fill urgent staffing needs and assist with complex case management when necessary.

Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate is an experienced veterinarian with leadership experience and a passion for enhancing animal welfare. The ability to communicate effectively, solve problems, and manage multiple locations in a fast-paced environment is essential. Requirements include:

  • DVM/VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited institution.
  • 5+ years of clinical veterinary experience, with leadership experience preferred.
  • Active veterinary license and DEA in good standing for Georgia (or the ability to obtain).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret performance data and drive improvements.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Ability to travel regularly within the Atlanta Metro / North Georgia area to support hospitals in the region.

Location & Travel: This field-based role is located in the Atlanta Metro / North Georgia area and requires regular travel to multiple animal hospitals within the region. Candidates should be based in or near the Atlanta area for efficient travel logistics.Benefits:
