Full time Regional Medical Director – Urgently Hiring + Great Salary – Denver, Colorado areaA highly regarded partner hospital is seeking an experienced and dedicated Regional Medical Director to oversee a portfolio of 20-35 animal hospitals in the Denver, Colorado area . This field-based leadership role offers the unique opportunity to collaborate with veterinary teams, ensuring exceptional patient care and operational success across multiple locations. The Regional Medical Director will travel frequently within the region, working closely with hospital staff to optimize medical practices and drive overall hospital performance.Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and support veterinary teams, offering guidance on complex medical cases and fostering a positive, collaborative work culture.
- Ensure top-quality patient care by monitoring doctor interactions, reviewing medical protocols, and ensuring adherence to best practices.
- Resolve staff and client conflicts, fostering open communication and effective problem-solving.
- Collaborate with practice managers and regional directors to enhance business operations and improve hospital performance.
- Conduct quarterly inspections to maintain high standards of medical and operational excellence.
- Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), such as revenue, visits, and patient outcomes, identifying trends and recommending strategies for improvement.
- Provide mentorship and support to new graduate veterinarians, helping them grow and thrive in their careers.
- Ensure compliance with all medical, operational, and regulatory standards, including maintaining accurate licensing and DEA logs.
- Step in to fill urgent staffing needs and assist with complex cases as necessary.
Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate is a compassionate and experienced veterinarian with leadership skills and a deep commitment to advancing animal care. The candidate should possess excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage a multi-location region. Qualifications include:
- DVM/VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited institution.
- 5+ years of clinical veterinary experience, with leadership experience preferred.
- Active veterinary license and DEA in good standing for Colorado (or ability to obtain).
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret performance data and implement improvements.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships with veterinary teams and clients.
- Ability to travel regularly within the Denver area to support hospitals across the region.
Location & Travel: This field-based position is located in the Denver, Colorado area and requires frequent travel to multiple animal hospitals within the region. Candidates should be based in or near Denver for efficient travel logistics.Benefits:
