  • Ensuring regulatory and industry standard requirements applicable to the Management System are met and effective.
  • Participating in and supporting Internal Quality and Supplier Quality audits, working under the guidance of the Lead Auditor when conducting first and second party audits/assessments.
  • Collaborating closely with the Lead Auditor during audit scoping, planning, field work, and preparing audit drafts and final reports. Preparing for and attending audit opening, closing, and daily debrief meetings.
  • Progressively qualifying for Auditor and Lead Auditor roles as responsibilities increase during the performance management cycle.
  • Assessing existing and potential distributors, suppliers, and subcontractor suppliers of items and services.
  • Ensuring products or services procured for quality program work are sourced from qualified suppliers capable of delivering technically acceptable products or services.
  • Developing and maintaining a global supplier assessment plan, using a graded approach to select and assess suppliers based on their ability to meet quality requirements.
  • Maintaining the CNL Approved Suppliers Listing–Quality for assessed suppliers.
  • Assisting in the development of procedures and manuals.
  • Supporting the development of procedures, Quality Plans, and project-specific plans, and articulating recommendations to management, regulatory authorities, and the public.
  • Participating in Quality Program reviews and in the review of company-wide quality processes and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned by your manager.

What we are looking for:

  • Education
  • At a minimum, a Bachelor’s (Honours) in Engineering or Science from a university of recognized standing, or membership in an engineering or scientific organization authorized by statute to establish qualification for membership in that organization.
  • Experience
  • Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in compliance auditing/engineering is desirable.
  • Some experience in contributing towards organizational transformation and change management activities is desirable.
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Ability to plan, organize and coordinate activities for self and others to achieve individual/department targets.
  • Ability to thrive as a member of a large, matrix organization working collaboratively with peers, direct reports, and superiors to achieve objectives in an environment characterized by frequent deadlines, competing demands, and customer scrutiny.
  • Ability to develop and manage quality resources to realize their potential.
  • Ability to develop well-informed advice and strategies sensitive to the various needs of multiple stakeholders and partners, reflecting the strategic direction of CNL and positioning CNL for success.
  • Superior communication skills (written and oral), some experience preparing concise reports on performance versus plan, issues management, and risks; and strong command of MS Office and Oracle software applications.
  • Ability to analyze data to gain insight into system efficiency and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Initiative and judgment to organize and optimize the flow of work and accuracy of records.
  • Organizational skills and ability to prioritize and manage time and meet deadlines.
  • Highly motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Security Clearance Eligibility Required
  • Level 2 Secret requires a minimum of 7 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States, and/or the United Kingdom. CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat’s “Standard on Security Screening” and the “Policy on Government Security.”
