Here’s where you can help decide a better future for us all.What You’ll Be DoingThis post is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing public health analytics team within Camden’s Health & Wellbeing Department. You will play an important role in driving forward analytical projects in partnership with policy, strategy, and commissioning specialists to deliver better services for our residents. This post fits into a Camden-wide analytical community of practice to promote an analytics-led approach within the Council.Working with the Head of Health Intelligence, the Lead Public Health Analyst, and the rest of the team, you will contribute to the delivery of analytical projects on topics across the health and wellbeing space as well as tacking an active role in helping shape the tools, methods, and practices used to undertake analysis.You will also have the opportunity to foster and grow our NHS, industry, and academic partnerships, working on innovative and ambitious programs to tackle key issues such as child health equity and poverty in the heart of London.All About YouYou will be a qualified professional with a postgraduate degree in public health, epidemiology, a similar numerate discipline or equivalent experience. You will come to us with working experience in public health analysis, data synthesis, and evidence-based decision making, with strong skills in quantitative methods and knowledge of qualitative methods Proficiency in R or Python for data analysis and visualisation is highly desirable, but not essential as training in these can be provided.The role requires a deep understanding of public health issues, stakeholder management, and the UK health research landscape. Excellent communication and project management skills are essential.You’ll work on innovative data analysis projects and synthesis techniques, ensuring high-quality outputs and continuous improvement. You’ll work closely with stakeholders to translate business needs into actionable insights and represent Camden in professional forums. Key responsibilities include overseeing data management, ensuring compliance with governance policies, and advancing data modelling and visualisation standards. Expertise in statistical methods, IT, and mathematical skills is essential.
