Requirements:

  • 3-5 year experience in a similar position in property management
  • Experience in the real estate industry
  • Knowledge of Quebec Real estate Law
  • Bilingual (English and French) is a must

The responsibilities will include:1) Property Maintenance:

  • Schedule and oversee maintenance and repairs to ensure properties are well-maintained.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify and address issues proactively.
  • Coordinate with contractors and maintenance staff for timely repairs and upkeep.

2) Tenant Relations:

  • Handle tenant inquiries, complaints, and service requests promptly.
  • Ensure high levels of tenant satisfaction by providing excellent customer service.
  • Facilitate tenant move-ins and move-outs, including inspections and documentation.

3) Leasing and Marketing:

  • Manage property listings and market available units to potential tenants.
  • Conduct property showings and handle leasing paperwork.
  • Screen and select qualified tenants through background checks and references.

4) Financial Management:

  • Prepare and manage property budgets, ensuring financial targets are met.
  • Collect rent, manage delinquencies, and handle evictions if necessary.
  • Prepare financial reports for property owners, including income, expenses, and profitability.

5) Compliance and Administration:

  • Ensure properties comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of property activities, including leases, inspections, maintenance, and financial transactions.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and changes in property management laws.

6) Vendor and Contract Management:

  • Negotiate contracts with vendors and service providers.
  • Oversee vendor performance to ensure quality services are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Manage relationships with utility companies, insurance providers, and other relevant parties.

7) Crisis Management

  • Respond to emergencies and urgent maintenance issues.
  • Develop and implement emergency response plans.
  • Communicate effectively with tenants and owners during crises.
