We have nearly 7,000 homes for affordable rent and shared ownership in Wiltshire, Somerset and Bath and North-East Somerset and employ over 300 staff from our offices in Trowbridge and Melksham.The roleWe are looking for a friendly and energetic individual to join our dedicated team of caretakers. As a team of three, you will look after our sheltered housing properties to keep them clean, safe and free from refuse or hazards.Excellent customer service is at the heart of this role, as you will regularly be interacting with our residents as you work in and around their homes.This is a physical job, with a fair amount of manual lifting and carrying, so would be ideal for someone looking for an active role, who enjoys being on their feet.Day to day you will be cleaning and maintaining communal areas, managing bin store areas, addressing community issues such as fly-tipping, and prepping properties and guest rooms. As a Caretaker you will also be responsible for managing supplies and carrying out minor repairs and improvement to properties.As this is a part time role, you will also have a certain amount of flexibility to decide your working hours, which could potentially be spread out over 4 or 5 days.Our Caretakers play a hugely important role within Selwood, keeping our neighbourhoods vibrant and welcoming.
