Join a Leading Organisation in the Nuclear IndustryThe MEH Alliance programme is accountable for full lifecycle delivery of the main MEH installation works at Hinkley Point C (HPC). The MEH programme scope includes the on-site installation of all pipes, electrical kits, and HVAC systems in the whole power plant, with the notable exception of the main coolant system, the main control room, the turbine hall and the main power evacuation.The MEH Alliance on Hinkley Point C, is seeking an experienced candidate to fill the challenging role of Project Materials Coordinator on site at Bridgwater, Somerset.As part of your role, you will delegate responsibilities to CE’s/Works Coordination Leads, lead, manage and motivate the team through implementation of best practice.Roles and Responsibilities

  • Reporting to SCS Coordination Lead on any anticipated delays in project delivery, issues with dependency deliverables/critical path delays.
  • Ultimately accountable for the coordination of construction and control services support the MEHA Programme
  • Ensures documents are updated and compliant with latest works scope information for MEHA documentation
  • Ensure deliverables from conception to A-Accepted status

90% first time accepted criteria * Support prioritisation of documentation to enable construction works as per the level 4 plan. E.g. T-3 months accepted prior to works

  • Provide and demonstrate a positive HSE leadership, building a strong and compliant HS&E culture throughout the whole construction life cycle of the Project.
  • Review and feedback on suitability of level of resource to effectively run the support function
  • Promoting seamless team coordination on all lifting, installation, welding, painting, emergent engineering and all other site construction services.
  • Ensure flawless execution of site construction by working closely with site construction technical team during execution phase
  • Ensuring MEH Alliance workstream deliver services on time, budget & quality
  • Liaise with necessary SME’s, stakeholders and client counterparts as required to meet and deliver MEHA construction programme needs. Key Deliverables:
  • Promote and maintain health and safety, including site inspections to ensure safety rules are being implemented Nuclear Safety Culture.
  • Ensure weekly & monthly reports are compiled and produced in a timely manner for upward review
  • Ensure resource to meet organisational requirements are available in line with the delivery schedule.
  • Coordinating service vital in beating project constraints of time, budget & quality, and meeting HPC requirements
  • Provide site construction management materials and resource support using MEHA service management tools.

Experience Required

  • Proven track record in nuclear power preferred
  • Experience working on major construction projects
  • Experienced in delivering and operating at a Engineer or Senior Engineer level, including experience working within Joint Ventures Additional Qualifications/ Experience:
  • Positive, can-do mentality
  • Proven track record of success.
  • Strong leader with collaborative nature
  • Ability to reach sensible compromise position

Qualifications Needed

  • Degree Qualification (or Equivalent)
  • Relevant Professional Accreditation (PM, Construction, Engineering)
  • Can achieve Security Clearance (BPSS or Higher)
  • IOSH managing safely
