Overview:EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION:Some construction work experience is preferred. Experience may be in the following sectors: federal, state, municipal, K-12 school, water/wastewater, higher education, laboratory facilities, or site/civil projects. Responsibilities:MAIN DUTIES:Project assignments include on-site representation of clients, preparation and management of project documentation, cost estimating, scheduling, plan review, and construction inspection. May review project records, schedules, and as-built construction to evaluate change orders and requests for extension of time. Independently apply techniques and analyze for problems and methods. Ensure the quality and timeliness of deliverables with periodic fluctuations in workload.ADDITIONAL DUTIES:Receive training, participate in company activities, and perform necessary administrative duties. Qualifications:EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE:Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or related field.

  • Knowledge of engineering principles of construction management and project controls.
  • Knowledge of one of the following services: critical path method (CPM) scheduling, cost estimating, constructability and design review, inspection, and quality management.
  • Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, statistics, and their applications.
  • Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language, including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
  • Possess OSHA 10-hour or OSHA 30-hour certification or obtain within 3 months of hire.
  • Some knowledge or familiarity with electronic project management information, controls, and reporting management system platforms is preferred.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Computer proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Bluebeam, and CADD.

  • Ability and readiness to engage in MBP-provided training and grasp of current relevant electronic project management tools, systems, and platforms.
  • Ability to develop, track, maintain, and communicate project controls and reporting work product within MBP’s project management and reporting framework.
  • Ability to work within a project team to complete project assignments.
  • Ability to execute tasks independently.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain industry certifications specific to duties assigned.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering plans, specifications, and technical reports.
  • Ability to maintain records and prepare reports/correspondence related to the work.
  • Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Ability to develop innovative, creative solutions to problems while utilizing analytical skills.
  • Ability to deeply focus on the details of an assignment and then summarize findings for presentation to project leadership.
  • Ability to listen and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
  • Ability to effectively communicate information and ideas verbally and written.
  • Ability to positively represent MBP within and outside of the workplace by acting with integrity in interpersonal interactions.
  • Able to stand and sit as needed on project work sites, climb ladders, work at heights, and work outdoors in a wide range of weather conditions.
  • Able to safely navigate construction work sites with uneven terrain.
