Full-Time – On-Site
Ashland, MEWhole Tress Structures “Outstanding Business of the Year” Award WinnerWholeTrees fabricates structural systems made of round timber and innovates the products and technology that opens new markets to this naturally structural solid material. The company currently seeks a detail-oriented leader with broad experience in project management, creative production management, carpentry, and teamwork and, ideally, with experience in crew leadership, timber framing, and communications with clients and markets at large to join our fabrication team in Maine as Production and Project Manager at this new facility.The position will work closely with experienced WholeTrees foremen and inventory leadership in Maine and Wisconsin.Responsibilities for this Position:
- Constructs, maintains, alters, and repairs building components and structures
- Measures, saws, and erects products made from wood per shop drawings
- Maintains power, hand tools, and equipment to ensure their safe and efficient operation.
- Leads small teams and projects
- Mentor entry and mid-level team members
- Be an example of the Whole Trees culture
- Performs related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ experience in construction with wood.
- 5+ experience with basic hand and power tools.
- An interest in wood wizardry.
- Experience in completing work off shop drawings.
- Demonstrated leadership experience of people and projects – 3+ years
- An attitude of learning and sharing your knowledge
- Has a driver’s license and can independently get to work and from work each day.
- Project Management experience.
- Quick to smile.
- Ability to regularly commute daily to Ashland, ME.

Preferred:
- Four-Year College Degree in Business, Engineering, Project Management, or similar
- A background in and passion for the environmental movement/green construction industry
- Experience with commercial timber frame and/or mass timber joinery and systems
- Ability to interpret and translate architectural drawings into an efficient process, start to finish
- Experience with Safety training and OSHA
- Ability to see the whole picture as well as its parts
- Familiar/experienced with chainsaw operations/safety
Compensation:
Wage negotiable based on experience with opportunity for advancement. Our Target salary is $75,000 to $100,000 based on experience. Full Benefits and Paid Time Off.
