We’re looking for a driven individual to work as a Product Owner, reporting to the Senior Product Manager on a 12 month fixed term contract.Welcome to the Savings team!   • You will be leading our FSCS team, using your experience in people management, risk and process to ensure a compliant process, risks are managed and improvements are identified and delivered.
  • Own key relationships across the Society – finding consensus and influencing stakeholders to move ideas forward at pace.
  • Use your excellent communication skills to distil complex technical change in simple easy to understand messages for wider consumption.
  • Develop quality written proposals that facilitate formal decision making and broaden the understanding of key issues.
  • Using your abilities to review and interpret data and insight to identify emerging risks and monitor customer outcomes.
  • Supporting end to end delivery of complex proposals and propositions.
  • Work closely with teams including Data and Insight, Finance, Tax, Compliance and Legal to investigate incidents, issues and complaints and put it right when things go wrong.

About youAs a minimum, we are looking for someone with the following:

  • Has product owner or product management experience in Financial Services, demonstrating an understanding of customer, commercial and operational impacts as well as risk management.
  • Experience or understanding of FSCS rules and management is beneficial.
  • Experience in working with data engineering stakeholders and relaying technical information into simple messages for a wider audience.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify challenges and develop solutions through use of data and insight, commercial awareness, and analytical skills.
  • People management experience of a small team.
  • Possess strong influencing skills and collaborative behaviours.
  • Ability to present information to senior executives.
