2025-06-11Full TimePermanentGI Group Recruitment are now seeking to appoint a Process Operative for our prestigious client based in Carcroft, Doncaster. Our client is a leading manufacturer of bespoke leisure products ranging from soft play equipment, sensory equipment and trampoline parks. We are looking to speak with motivated & reliable candidates who want to develop with a business who are in a period of growth and can offer genuine opportunities for progression.Working Hours:
06:00 – 15:00 Monday to Thursday.
06:00 – 12:00 on Friday.Pay Rate:
£13.00 to £14.55 p/h depending on experience.Main objectives/Responsibilities: –1. To make GRP products (mainly slides for playground equipment) from start to finish
2. Mould preparation (New / Refurbish/ Minor prep)
3. Gel processing & Tint colour mixing
4. Trimming / Sanding process
5. Applying chemical coatings
6. Polishing & packing
7. Operation of various machines
8. Interpret drawings to acquire correct sizes, cut-out requirements and orientations of products.
9. Be self-reliant on tasks
10. Follow work plans exactly
11. Constantly look to improve quality of products.Competencies and Skill set:
1. Understanding of the materials used and the process involved in manufacturing GRP product.
2. Safe use of hand tools both manual & battery operated.
3. Attention to detail and identifying defects.
4. Good communication skills.
5. Ability to clean, organise and keep tidy workspaces.
6. Correct use of PPE
7. Physically able to maintain manual handling procedures (training will be given in manual handling).If you do not meet all the criteria listed above, but have experience as a machine operative, CNC machinist, or have worked with hand tools, then we encourage you to apply as our client is open to providing training for applicants with transferrable skills and a willingness to learn.Benefits
